WoW Strategy Guide
Hello & Welcome!
My name is Simon Wallis and I’ve been a WoW addict for over 3 years!
I've created this website to help fellow gamers progress through
World of Warcraft and anyone looking for a WoW Strategy Guide.
There’s lots of tips, techniques and strategy advice to help you level up fast and make pots of gold quickly, so
that you can enjoy and have lots more fun from playing this addictive game.
To begin with, for those of you who are new to World of Warcraft (aka WoW), here's a brief introduction to the
game.
World of Warcraft is Blizzard Entertainment's 4th edition in it's Warcraft series, it is played
by millions of people world wide. It takes place 4 years after the setting of Warcraft III, and is set in the world
of Azeroth.
Since its introduction in late 2004 it has been expanded with two further editions - the Burning
Crusade and the Wrath of the Lich King (WOTLK).
As you progress through the game and complete quest, you will be rewarded with money (WoW gold) and various
items which will all help towards increasing your overall power and skill.
WoW is a strategic and tactical game, where choosing the right strategy will allow you to level up faster and
gain more power and riches for your character.
The original Warcraft allowed you to level from 1 to 60. The first expansion; Burning Crusade allowed players to
advance up to level 70. The latest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King will allow role players to advance up to level
80.
You may have come to this site looking for a WoW strategy guide to help level-up faster, or make more gold.
Here's a great all round WoW strategy guide if you are looking for the best of both worlds (how to level up
super quick and get lots of WoW gold ):
Dugi’s Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide
It's a fantastic site that has a massive members area containing all the latest up to date information on
everything to do with Leveling from 1 to 80, plus a really comprehensive gold guide.
Anyway, back to Warcraft basics...
The role playing in World of Warcraft is controlled by NPC (Non Player Characters) who
provide quests, offer advice as well as giving general guidance to PC (Player Characters),
such as you and other online gamers. The NPC characters behaviour is dictated by Blizzard’s gaming software.
At the start of the game you will have to decide which of the two opposing sides you want to fight for,
Alliance or Horde. You then need to choose a race.
There are 10 races to choose from: Horde races are made up of the Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, BloodElves and the
Undead. The Alliance consists of Draeni, Dwarves, Humans, Gnomes and Night Elves.
Each race has its own unique qualities and potential abilities. The race you select also determines which of the
10 playable character classes you will be allowed to play the game as. Some of the class characters rely on
strength and are great Melee fighters, whilst others depend on "range fighting" or a combination of cunning and
ingenuity to level up.
World of Warcraft character classes
- Druid: Available to Night Elves and Tauren.
- Hunter: Blood Elves, Draenei, Dwarves, Night Elves, Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls.
- Mage: Blood Elves, Draenei, Gnomes, Humans, Trolls, and Undead.
- Paladin: Blood Elves, Draenei, Dwarves, and Humans.
- Priest: Blood Elves, Draenei, Dwarves, Humans, Night Elves, Trolls, and Undead.
- Rogue: Blood Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Orcs, Trolls, and

- Shaman: Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls.
- Warlock: Blood Elves, Gnomes, Humans, Orcs, and Undead.
- Warrior: All races classes apart from Blood Elves.
- Death Knight (WoTLK expansion)
Having selected your race character and class, you will have to select a profession. The profession allows you
to gain a specific skill so that you can "finance your way" through the game by generating WoW gold from the sale
of your finished items.
Wow Professions List
Professions are split into two categories; Primary and Secondary.
Primary Professions: Include the crafting related trades such as Alchemy, Blacksmithing,
Enchanting, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Inscription and the gathering professions of
Herbalism, Mining and Skinning.
Secondary professions - First Aid, Cooking and Fishing.
WoW Strategy Guide - Rules
The rules allow you to select up to 2 primary professions but you can select all 3
secondary professions if you want to. Fishing and Cooking for example go well together, as you can catch fish,
cook them and sell them for gold.
(The Rogue class have 2 secondary professions which are unique only to them -Lock Picking &
Poisons)
